Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF) and the Town of Eatonville hosted a Construction Kick-Off event at the current Eatonville Branch location of BGCCF on Ruffel Street. Whole Foods Market will be the only major retailer to offer Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified, fresh, harpoon-caught swordfish from Nova Scotia during July and August, while supplies last.

For the first time in 43 years, the Y unveiled a new brand strategy — and a new logo — to increase understanding of the impact the organization makes in the community. They hope that more people take advantage of the YMCA's unique capacity to foster lasting personal and social change.

As they head to college this fall, 123 Florida students will take with them scholarships from the Burger King Scholars program. Over $1.2 million was donated nationwide and throughout parts of Canada in the company's 10th year of the program. One of the winners, Michaela Anderson, is from Winter Park High School and was awarded $1,000. She will put that to use this fall as she heads to the University of South Carolina.
