Tortoise relocation

Wildlife experts with The Humane Society of the United States will relocate approximately 150 to 200 gopher tortoises from D.R. Horton’s Rock Springs Ridge development site in Apopka. The tortoises will be relocated to Nokuse Plantation, a permanently protected, 50,000-acre wilderness in Walton County.
