The RLF-designed Weed Army Community Hospital, in Ft. Irwin, California, earned the Honor Award for Conceptual Design from the 2012 Chief of Engineers Awards of Excellence Program. The 215,000 sq. ft. acute care hospital uses modern health care tenets, including evidence-based principles and practices, as well as regenerative healing elements and a restorative building aesthetic to create a medical oasis in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

The Pappas Group recently represented a married couple who jointly owned a small business in litigation against the IRS. The group was able to obtain a complete abatement of a $54,824 late filing and late payment penalty assessed against the pair of cancer survivors.
