Florida Hospital HospiceCare is looking for volunteers to provide support in the care of patients and their families. The Center for Independent Living is seeking volunteers and donations for its annual Stroll ‘n’ Roll fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Harbor Park at Lake Baldwin. Open to those with and without disabilities, the event promotes diversity and inclusion by giving participants a chance to navigate the world in a wheelchair. The Central Florida Watercolor Society (CFWS) will hold its next meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the First Presbyterian Church of Maitland located 341 N. Orlando Ave. The meeting will feature a demo by the founder of our group, the talented Ken Austin. Ken will be presenting a taste of what’s to come in his upcoming workshop, “3 Things My Mother Never Told Me About Watercolor.” The workshop, hosted by CFWS, will happen Oct. 7-9 at Webster University, Sanlando Center in Longwood.
