The Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park will present the musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, from June 10 to July 3. The City of Winter Park Public Art Advisory Board is proud to announce the newest “Art in Chambers” exhibition featuring paintings by Lisa Rodriguez and artwork by the Multifaith Education Project. The exhibition will be on display through August. It will be open for public viewing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Commission Chambers and Room 200 in Winter Park City Hall located at 401 Park Ave. S.

June marks the second anniversary of The Spice & Tea Exchange of Winter Park at 309 Park Ave. To celebrate, the store will hold a series of special events beginning Monday, June 13 through Sunday, June 19 primarily focused on charity and community. The highlight of the week’s events are cooking classes in the “Art of the Tagine.” Classes will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16. On both nights, the class is free to the first 20 registrants. In addition, On Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, Holly Luisi, The Bohemian Baker, will be providing savory and sweet treats. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9, the Winter Park-based Center for Independent Living is holding an Emergency Management Conference at the Disney Entrepreneur Center located inside the Fashion Square Mall at 3201 E. Colonial Drive. Emergency personnel from Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties will be attending this conference to provide disabled Central Floridians with insight on personal responsibilities, what to expect in the event of an emergency, how to handle certain situations and the different types of disasters that could occur. Winter Park is excited to announce The Furry Fitness Challenge, a weight loss challenge that teams people with their pets. Join the Orlando Circle of Friends Chorus for a musical journey across the U.S. as they present songs from Florida, California, New York and Washington, D.C. The Weavers of Orlando will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at the Orlando College Park Lions Club, 1782 Fairview Shores Drive, Orlando, for a program titled “Fake Ikat” presented by local weaver Berna Lowenstein. Following the presentation, Lowenstein will teach a two-hour workshop during which each participant will create two weaving warps using fabric paint in place of dye. FilmSlam at the Enzian is a monthly indie film showcase and competition open to Florida filmmakers and students. This series empowers audience members to select each month’s winner, who then advance to participate in Enzian’s Brouhaha Film & Video Showcase. The next FilmSlam is at 1 p.m. June 12, and costs $5.

Wednesday Night Pitcher Show presents “Porky’s”. Grab a beer (or two) and some munchies at Eden Bar and enjoy this free outdoor movie on the lawn at Enzian at 8:30 p.m. June 15. Featuring a special evening happy hour from 7-11 p.m., this night of great drinks and fun flicks is best enjoyed under the stars with your buddies by your side. Set in 1954, a group of Florida high schoolers seek out to lose their virginity in this raunchy comedy.
