The Friends of the Maitland Public Library Spring Book Sale is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14 to Sunday, April 17 at the Maitland Public Library.

The Central Florida Anthropological Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at Leu Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave. The speaker will be Dr. Sarah Barber, an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Central Florida specializing in the origins and organization of complex societies in Mesoamerica. The Morse Museum will host the Friday Brown Bag Matinee at noon on Friday, April 15, featuring the 50-minute length “Gardens and Galleries” at the Hugh F. and Jeannette G. McKean Pavilion, 161 W. Canton Ave. Admission is free.

SATURDAY

Performing Arts of Maitland will perform at the Maitland Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Arts Festival at Lake Lily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 16-17. Admission is free.

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park concludes its 2010–2011 season with music of serene beauty by French composers Fauré, Poulenc, and Saint-Saëns. Concert times are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16 and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at the Knowles Memorial Chapel, Rollins College, 1000 Holt Ave. Performance tickets range from $20 to $50.
