On Monday, July 6, the city's Public Works and Parks & Recreation departments began construction at New England Avenue, heading north on the west side of Park Avenue. The renovation process will include immediate improvements such as rebuilding brick planters, replacing landscaping as needed, updating and increasing trash receptacles, and replacing dumpsters with trash compactors along both Garfield and Welbourne avenues. This façade improvement will also include any necessary curbing, sidewalk repairs, and additional sidewalk cleaning.
