Singer Sebastian Zaldibar was diagnosed with a polyp on his vocal cord, causing him to lose his voice. Sebastian went through surgery and months of vocal therapy but has made a miraculous recovery. He performed at Rollins College on April 13, which was World Voice Day.

Owner and chef John Rivers announced a second location of 4 Rivers Smokehouse opened in Winter Garden, 1047 S. Dillard St., on April 5. The Smokehouse occupies more than 2,780-square-feet of interior space, twice the size of the Winter Park location, and offers additional seating and a drive-thru.
