Sixth annual Chiefs on the Run 5K

FEB. 8

Dommerich Elementary School will host its sixth annual Chiefs on the Run 5K and 1-mile Dommerich Dash on Saturday, Feb. 8. All registered participants will receive a race bib and an event T-shirt. FEB. 9

For the fourth consecutive year, the Park Avenue Merchants Association will present a free Valentine Concert in Central Park. The afternoon of music and romance features Central Florida’s beloved Michael Andrew and Swingerhead on the Central Park Stage from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. Come early, bring a picnic blanket and stay afterward for dinner on the Avenue.

The Orlando VA’s inaugural Veterans Creative Arts Festival at the Lake Baldwin Outpatient Clinic will be held Friday, Feb. 14. Talented veterans will share their work at 5201 Raymond St., Orlando. Call 407- 629-1599.

The Orlando Museum of Art's Council of 101 presents the 32nd annual Antiques Vintage & Garden Show beginning on Friday, Feb. 14, through Sunday, Feb. 16. The three-day show will welcome established antique dealers from across the United States offering an array of fine antique furniture, paintings, jewelry, oriental rugs, porcelain and vintage collectibles as well as garden inspiration and special guest speaker Cynthia Brumback. The show will run on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Orlando Museum of Art. Proceeds from the event benefit the Orlando Museum of Art, 2416 N. Come and enjoy the Orlando Wetlands Festival on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Christmas Park. The Orlando Wetlands Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the city of Orlando’s Wetlands Park, the city’s 1,650-acre wetland oasis. Come and experience this unique wetland treatment system with the entire family. Event co-sponsor, Orange Audubon Society, will lead guided bird-watching excursions. The Florida Native Plant Society will lead native plant identification hikes; while the Florida Trail Association will be providing wilderness hikes.
