Winter Park’s 60th annual Easter Egg Hunt is on! It starts at 9:30 a.m. April 19 in Central Park, with multiple age groups. Bring your youngsters and a basket to the Central Park West Meadow for Easter fun.

APRIL 24

Popcorn Flicks returns to Central Park with “Murder on the Orient Express” starting at 8 p.m. April 24 in Winter Park’s Central Park, featuring popcorn courtesy of the Enzian Theater. Bring a blanket or some chairs and a picnic basket. It’s all free! Visit enzian.org for more information.

In the mood to show off your fitness (or just get moving)? It’s the 22nd annual Jeannette Genius McKean Run for the Trees 5K in Winter Park. It starts at 7:30 a.m. April 26 at Showalter Field in Winter Park. Visit cityofwinterpark.org for more information.

If you missed the American Idol cut, you can still let your voice be heard. Share your talents with the world and help families prevent becoming homeless during a crisis at the 2014 Charity Singing Competition – “SING! To End Homelessness!” On Saturday, April 26, singers, bands and groups of all ages from every genres are invited to audition for the competition with hopes of advancing to the May 17 grand finales, where the top vocalists will sing for the cause to win prizes and try to secure their place on the “All Genres Compilation Album” benefiting A Grateful Mind Community Outreach Services. The Sandspur and WPRK 91.5 FM are getting ready to host the second annual Fox Fest concert at Rollins College. The event will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. April 26 at Mary Jean Plaza on the Rollins College campus. The event is open to Rollins students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding communities of Winter Park and Orlando. Fox Fest is a spring music and arts festival located on the Rollins College campus and planned by its student media outlets. This year’s concert will focus on local independent bands and visual artists from the Rollins College art department. The eclectic lineup will feature Mojave Wilde, Room Full of Strangers, Fortune Howl, and headliner The Groove Orient. This year’s Fox Fest also features food from the local butchery The Meat House. It is sponsored in part by several generous community business partners, including Orlando Fashion Square Mall, B&B Junction, and local Park Avenue clothing store Charyli.
