Knox Medical opening medical-marijuana dispensary in Gainesville

The Gainesville dispensary will be located at 3400 SW 34th Street.

Knox Medical has announced plans to open a dispensary in Gainesville. The company, led by CEO Jose Hidalgo and COO Bruce Knox, grows and sells low-THC cannabis for medical use to qualified patients in the Central Florida area.

Knox Nursery's greenhouses, located at 940 Avalon Road, has been growing flowers and plants for Florida's Resort industry since 1962.

Knox Medical – a subsidiary company that processes and sells medicinal cannabis oils, drops and capsules – also plans to open locations in Jacksonville, Lake Worth, Tallahassee, and St. Petersburg. The planned Orlando dispensary is slated to open in the coming weeks at 1901 N. Orange Avenue in the Ivanhoe Village neighborhood.
