'Let's Do It!'. . .. Let's Do This LOCAL Area Blog Together!

So far, I’m thinking this whole daily blog thing is awesome. I’ll admit.

But while it presents some great opportunities for me, I hope Local residents and business owners will come to see the intent is for this to provide great opportunities for you, as well.

I want to know what’s going on with Local businesses and when you tell me . . . I’ll include that information HERE! Yeah, right here. The page you’re looking at.

There are all sort of things I’m looking for and limited to two eyes and two legs . . . only so much area I can cover in a day. I WANT you go get involved, help me make this space into something fun and interesting and all about our Community!

Somewhat on that topic, soon I’m going to be asking for your help with something else also. It’s sort of a special project focused on the history of Winter Park and Park Avenue. I know many of you get EXCITED about. A restaurant I will be working with shortly wants to get into that whole local celebration thing we LUV. We’re hopeful you may have some photos or other items which will help us do that it a very visual way. Stay tuned. More to come on this soon.

Tomorrow I’m going to visit a BIG tree! And next week I’m hoping to get you involved in something else, an effort with the Winter Park / Maitland Observer to celebrate our gorgeous Local tree canopy and maybe even identify some of our Local favorite woody neighbors. Watch this blog or watch my new weekly column for more details.

My efforts to focus on LOCAL are going to get a shot of steroids next month. The new effort? TLT! Yeah, yeah, I sound a bit like a broken record, but more explanation on this next week in my column. TLT is coming next month and I HOPE you will want to participate . . . both individuals AND Local businesses!

“Give A Dog A Home” today is another duo via Florida Boxer Rescue, since yesterday’s father & son got so much response. Today it’s Ginger and her brother Bubba. So cute, especially that look on sweet Ginger’s face! They are from the same litter and need to be placed together. See the Florida Boxer Rescue site (flbr.org) for more info!
