A 29-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds in the Ocoee shopping plaza parking lot around noon on Thursday, March 16, Ocoee Police said.

Ocoee police had responded to a call about a suspicious incident at 23 W. Silver Star Road and, upon their arrival, discovered the stabbed victim slumped over the steering wheel of his car. While removing him from the vehicle, they discovered the wounds.

"The victim had one major puncture to his upper torso and several defensive wounds. We were originally dispatched to a possible overdose – someone slumped over the steering wheel in a car," said Ocoee Sgt. Mark Olson.

The victim was then transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he informed detectives he had an argument with his 57-year-old roommate, Roberto Vazquez Hernandez, according to a press release. The victim is in stable condition.

The victim asked Hernandez to move out of the victim's home and the argument escalated to a physical altercation, at which point Hernandez stabbed the victim.

Around 3 p.m. today, detectives located the suspect, Hernandez, at a homeless camp. Hernandez is currently in Ocoee PD custody, which is currently investigating the incident further.

This is a developing story; check back for updates.
