Nearly 1,000 protestors flooded downtown Orlando for the Occupy Orlando protest rally Oct. 15. The protest echoed the Occupy Wall Street movement, which began five weeks ago in New York City's financial district.

The movement has gained national fame for throngs of protestors holding signs denouncing corruption, unfair taxation and greed in the banking and finance industry.

Orlando became the newest major city to participate in the growing movement, which has spread to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Portland, among other cities.
