1. Innovation Montessori School of Ocoee
Tonight, commissioners will see the first reading for a proposed charter school by the name of Innovation Montessori of Ocoee. The school seeks annexation and the initial zoning for 17.6 acres of property, five of which are wetlands. The future school is to be situated on the west side of North Lakewood Avenue, south of Fullers Cross Road and north of Wurst Road. Under consideration with this ordinance is approval of the preliminary site plan for the school, which plans to house four buildings and 800 students from pre-k to 8th grade.

2. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate
The commission will also be discussing the first reading for an ordinance pertaining to the use of a special magistrate to supplement the volunteer-based Code Enforcement Board, which oversees cases regarding code compliance matters. The commissioner's approval of this ordinance would divide jurisdiction of code compliance matters according to category. The special magistrate would manage all cases relating to commercial property and the CEB would manage cases for residential property.

3. RFP Award for Solar Farms Project
City leaders will also be deciding on which company to sign a contract with for a project to create two solar farms. The first solar farm would be located at the Utilities Administration Building and the second at the South Water Treatment Plant. Four vendors interested in constructing the city's future solar farms were considered and interviewed, and in the end, the evaluation committee recommended the commissioners choose ESA Renewables, LLC for a cost of $165,000. Funding for both solar farms would pulled from both the fiscal year budgets for 2016 ($80,000) and 2017 ($85,000).
