OCSO investigating 'suspicious' Winter Garden death

WINTER GARDEN – Orange County deputies are investigating what is suspected to be a homicide following the discovery of a deceased individual Saturday, September 23.

Deputies found the man, Noel Brown, 77, inside his home at 1411 Avalon Road in Winter Garden at approximately 2:45 p.m. during a call to check on his well-being.

According to a press release, detectives considered the circumstances of the death suspicious and the medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide.

Crime Scene investigators are reportedly searching the surrounding area of Avalon Road after detectives were received a tip that there may be evidence relevant to the investigation in the area.

The nature of the evidence has not been shared by OCSO.
