Units of the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a home invasion incident involving semi-automatic handguns at 3:51 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at 7308 Burnway Drive in the Dr. Phillips area.

Officers met a witness who said she and her female roommate were inside the residence when two male suspects burst into the home and demanded money. The witness jumped out of a rear window of the residence when the suspects began shooting, wounding two male visitors multiple times.

Personnel from Orange County Fire Department transported the victims to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Both remain in serious condition.

Robbery unit detectives from the sheriff's office believe the victims were specific targets of the suspects. Detectives continue to work this active, open case.
