WINTER GARDEN Two men were arrested on Tuesday, April 18, after deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office flagged a stolen U-Haul truck on Silver Star Road around 4:10 p.m. After requesting additional backup, the deputies, who were driving in an unmarked vehicle, followed the truck until it turned onto Dillard Street.

When the truck parked outside of Wild Hog Scooters, nearly a dozen deputies and police officers from the Winter Garden Police Department surrounded the truck to apprehend its occupants.

After detaining the driver and passenger, deputies found six all-terrain-vehicles in the back of the U-Haul, which were not stolen. The all-terrain-vehicles were scheduled to be delivered to Wild Hog Scooters on Tuesday afternoon for maintenance work, and the owner was at the store waiting for their arrival when the two men were apprehended. Deputies reported that they suspected the men were making the delivery using the stolen U-Haul.

The owner of the all-terrain-vehicles refused to provide any comments about the situation when questioned by the West Orange Times & Observer.
