Winter Garden commissioners will meet tonight to discuss eligible candidates for the City Commission District 3 seat, consider recommendations for approval of a right-of-maintenance agreement and final plat for Phase 4B of the Oakland Park subdivision and more.

1. Resolution 16-10 to declare eligible candidates for City Commission District 3 seat

Seeing as current City District 3 Commissioner Bobby Olszewski has resigned, the city will announce all eligible candidates for his seat on the commission. The new commissioner will be chosen during the special election on Jan. 24, 2017.

2. Recommendation to approve right-of-maintenance agreement and plat approval for Oakland Park subdivision

Commissioners will consider two recommendations in regards to the new Oakland Park subdivision.

The first is a right-of-maintenance agreement with Oakland Park Association, Inc. for Phase 4B. Winter Garden has been granted public right-of-way to the portion of the project that runs through its city limits, but the landscaping and improvements will require more extensive maintenance than is typical for the city to perform. This agreement would grant the Oakland Park HOA permission to maintain the landscaping and improvements within the public right-of-way, subject to the conditions set forth by the city.

The second is to approve a final plat for Phase 4B of the subdivision, subject to Development Review Committee conditions. Lake Apopka LLC is developing the final plat on the nearly 13.5-acre property in Oakland Park. This plat would consist of a total of 58 single-family homes, and approval is subject to conditions set forth by the Development Review Committee last month.
