Construction on Lakemont Avenue

If you’ve driven around the intersection of Lakemont and Mizell avenues this week, you’ll notice quite a bit of construction in that area due to a city sewer rehab project. The intersection will be closed and signs will indicate detour routes on how to navigate, especially around Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

This project is scheduled to be complete by Monday, July 22, weather permitting. Vehicles and pedestrians can expect traffic delays and side-street road closures during the course of the project, which will be indicated with signage. Please allow extra time while traveling in this area or take an alternate route to avoid delays. Trash pick-up and mail service are expected to continue on normal schedules throughout the project.

The city continually strives to minimize inconvenience to local residents and through traffic during construction. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this important project. For additional information, please contact the city of Winter Park’s Public Works Department at 407-599-3233.
