As it turns out, the FHSAA Class 9A State Championship last week was not the final game of the spring for West Orange High softball standout Lexie Blair.

The outfielder for the Warriors graduated high-school May 29 and learned June 1 that she had been named to the East team for the Premiere Girls Fastpitch High School All-American Game.

Blair — who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Michigan in college — will compete along with 40 other Division I signees at the annual game, which is scheduled for Friday, July 27 in California.

The game, which will be broadcast on ESPNU, will be held at DeAnna Manning Stadium in Irvine. More info on the game can be learned HERE.

Blair is also a midseason candidate for the American Family Insurance ALL-USA High School Softball Player of the Year. Fans can vote for Blair to help her earn the national award HERE.

The former Warriors had been on the varsity team at West Orange since she was a freshman and has become one of the school's most decorated athletes, across all sports.

As a senior, Blair once again posted impressive numbers at the plate after she returned from an injury, hitting .459 with 36 RBIs and 17 extra-base hits — leading the team in all three statistical categories.
