Music Among the Lakes event postponed to 2022

Music Among the Lakes, a sister event to Windermere Wine & Dine, has been postponed until 2022.

The WWD team announced the event’s 2021 cancellation Tuesday, Feb. 9, in a Facebook post. Music Among the Lakes was originally set to take place March 6 at The Pines at Windermere. 

Attendees were to enjoy music from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Florida Youth Symphony Orchestra Jazz Ensemble in socially distanced, 8-foot-by-8-foot “boxes.” Food and beverages would have been available through Dixie Cream Cafe, Ellie Lou’s Brews & BBQ and Tim’s Wine Market. Event proceeds would be donated to local food pantries and at-risk families impacted by COVID-19.

“This decision did not come easy, but it is with the health and safety of all our guests, sponsors, partners, and volunteers in mind,” the WWD team wrote on Facebook. “This was a mutual decision made by WWD Team and OUC The Pines.

Music Among the Lakes will be moved to April or May of 2022. Those who purchased boxes, picnic baskets and charcuterie boards will receive full refunds.

“We will be back stronger than ever in 2022 with Windermere Wine & Dine and Music Among the Lakes,” the team wrote. “We cannot thank you enough for your continued support.”
