Oakland Town Commission to meet Tuesday

Citizens can attend in person at the Oakland Meeting Hall or virtually with a link.

The Oakland Town Commission will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23.

The agenda will include the reading of two proclamations, and there will be discussions on officially changing the State Road 438 name to Oakland Avenue, the funding of the HVAC project at Oakland Avenue Charter School and development order revisions for Johns Lake Point. The commission will vote on an ordinance that enhances the pedestrian safety on Oakland Avenue at Sansparilla Road as well.

The elected officials will meet in person at Oakland Meeting Hall, 221 N. Arrington St.; residents can attend in person or by joining the Zoom meeting at bit.ly/3sgM0UD; the passcode is 9v180h.
