Axiom Bank Hamlin hosts food drive

Axiom Bank Hamlin and other Axiom Banking locations are hosting a food drive throughout the month of September to help locals in need. 

The banks will be collecting essentials including canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, canned meat, diapers, toiletries, and other critical needs items.

Donations may be dropped off to your nearest Axiom Bank location. 

The company began their food drive on Sept. 3, in celebration of National Food Drive Day. 

Jennifer Waddell, vice president of retail banking at Axiom, said the company was aware of the critical need for a food drive, especially with challenges the coronavirus pandemic has brought.

"We all need to work together as we go through this pandemic and offer any support we can," Waddell said. "You never know when you might be someone who needs help."

Waddell said one of her passions lies with financial education and budgeting and that she has found a lot of people across the country are only one pay check away from having financial difficulties. 

"Being able to donate even a can of soup or a pack of baby diapers to those in need can have a very large impact," Waddell said.
