Winter Garden voters return to polls today

District 2 voters will select between incumbent Ron Mueller and challenger Iliana Ramos Jones in a runoff election.

District 2 Winter Garden voters will return to the polls today to select between incumbent Ron Mueller and challenger Iliana Ramos Jones in a runoff election.

In the March 19 municipal election, no candidate received 50% of the vote. Jones had 247 election-day votes, 151 early votes and 189 vote-by-mail, which accounted for 587 votes (48.04%). Mueller had 137 election-day votes, 182 early votes and 193 vote-by-mail, totaling 512 votes (41.90%). 

A third candidate, Danny Culberson, had 40 election-day votes, 38 early votes and 45 vote-by-mail, for a total of 123 votes (10.07%).

All four poll locations will be open until 7 p.m. tonight:

• Precinct 107: Tanner Hall, 29 West Garden Ave., Winter Garden

• Precinct 108: West Orlando Christian Center, 1301 E. Bay St., Winter Garden

• Precinct 109: Faith Family Community Church, 305 Beulah Road, Winter Garden

• Precinct 132: Oakland Presbyterian Church, 218 E. Oakland Ave., Oakland
