It was a long Sunday night for everyone in the Central Florida area, as Hurricane Irma came rampaging through with its Category 2 winds and heavy rain.
Originally the storm was projected to ride up the eastern coast of the state, but throughout the day Saturday it seemed to be moving further and further west toward Tampa/St. Pete area, before going back east and finding its way over the heads of those in Central Florida.
The storm was at its peak late Sunday night/early Monday morning when it downed trees and power lines, while causing damage to homes and businesses throughout Winter Park and Maitland.
