A local business is helping children in need for the holiday season.

Abbott's Frozen Custard in Horizon West is collecting toys through the beginning of December as part of the Toys for Tots toy drive.

The Hamlin location is collecting new and unwrapped toys for children up to age 13.

For each donation made, residents will receive an entry into a raffle to win three free pints of Abbott's Frozen Custard.

"Getting involved with the Toys for Tots program is important to me and to Abbott's Frozen Custard because it gives us the opportunity to help those in our community that are less fortunate," Owner of Abbott's in Hamlin Jennifer Pelcher said. "Christmas is a magical time of year for children and no matter what their situation is, every child and parent deserves the opportunity to experience that magic."

Donations should be brought to the store at 16406 New Independence Pkwy.

The custard shop will be collecting donations through Dec. 9.
