Bradfords taking supplies to Bahamas

Supplies are being collected this week at their Winter Garden business.

Cam Bradford Homes is acting as a drop-off site for supplies being collected and sent to the Bahamas to help with Hurricane Dorian recovery efforts.

Bradford’s father, Wade Bradford, is taking a crew and a 46-foot sport-fishing boat full of supplies to the Bahamas on Sunday. Wade Bradford said he has received permission from the Bahamian government to land in Freeport.

Donations can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Cam Bradford Homes, 1305 E. Plant St., Winter Garden, or at the home of Wade and Jan Bradford, 111 Meri-Cam Court, Winter Garden. Folks who are unable to drop off supplies can leave monetary donations.

The following items are needed: camping stoves with fuel, tarps, tents, generators, leather gloves, flashlights, chainsaws, baby food and formula, diapers, baby wipes, empty gas cans, first-aid kits, MREs, plastic trash bags, bottled water, bleach, Lysol, canned goods, non-perishable dry goods and toiletries.

All donations will be distributed by Bahamian faith-based groups to the neediest individuals first.
