BREAKING NEWS: Armed robbery suspect arrested by Winter Park police

Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. faces numerous charges following an armed robbery on April 9.

A suspect is behind bars after allegedly robbing a local chiropractor at gunpoint earlier this month.

Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. was arrested by Winter Park police officers on Thursday, April 25, and faces charges of burglary with a battery therein; robbery with a firearm; aggravated battery with a firearm; aggravated assault with a firearm; grand theft: more than $300, less than $5,000; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of ammunition by a convicted felon; and fleeing and eluding with disregard of human life.

Officers had responded at around 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, to a call of a reported robbery at Pain Free Chiropractic at 1320 S. Orlando Ave. Suite No. 4. While on their way to the scene, officers received a call with a description of a black male suspect, who left the scene in a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup. The suspect was seen crossing Pennsylvania Avenue on Fairbanks Avenue heading eastbound.

During his flight, the suspect crashed into another vehicle, injuring two innocent bystanders.

"We went up north on Lakemont, up on Lake Howell, and I think it was Tuscarora Trail that he ended up crashing into the back of a car, got out of the truck and took off, "Winter Park Police Department Lt. John Montgomery said. "We brought all of the troops out to look for him and couldn’t find him.”

Following an investigation, detectives established probable cause that Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. committed multiple offenses during the armed robbery. Bryant was out on bond for felony charges from Seminole County at the time of the incident, and was on felony probation as well.
