BREAKING NEWS: Driver found dead after crash along State Road 429

The driver lost control of their vehicle for an unknown reason while heading northbound, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

A driver was pronounced deceased on the scene after a crash along State Road 429 in Winter Garden during the early hours of Saturday, July 13, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office,

The driver, who has been identified as 29-year-old Orlando resident Jacob Peters, was heading northbound in a 2007 Honda SUV along mile marker 21 at 3:10 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason.

The SUV crossed the center grass median and the southbound lanes before crashing into a water-filled ditch.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
