A Winter Park-area teenager has been arrested and charged with the murder of his mother.

Michael King, 18, reportedly stabbed his mother, Nancy Noone, to death at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, according to a redacted arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred inside their home on 633 Cornwall Road, just outside of Winter Park city limits near Winter Park High School and Brookshire Elementary School.

King has been charged with first-degree murder.

The affidavit states that Noone’s death is the direct result of being stabbed and having her throat cut by Michael King, and that “the statement of facts is supported by physical evidence.”
