Burglars steal $50,000 in jewelry, purses from Windermere home

Tips that lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) and/or recovery of the stolen property are eligible for up to a $1,000 cash reward.

Windermere Police Department detectives are searching for the suspect(s) who stole about $50,000 in jewelry, purses, bags, sunglasses and other items from a Windermere home.

According to Police Chief Dave Ogden, at about 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, the suspect(s) entered the Windermere home and stole a large variety of items, including an orange Hermès Birkin bag; a brown Louis Vuitton box with gold corners; a black Louis Vuitton bag; four pairs of Louis Vuitton sunglasses; two pairs of Chopard aviator sunglasses; two pairs of Tom Ford sunglasses; a Gucci purse; and two Louis Vuitton purses.
