Caring for autistic kids

Executive Director Jim Dennis of the Threshold Center for Autism announces the hiring of Dr. Luis F. Barroso, D.O. and Nurse Practitioner Caroline Gertz to the staff of the Benjamin C. Willard Jr. M.D. Memorial Clinic. The Clinic offers full medical and dental services for families with special needs children and adults and their family members.

Sonny’s new COO

Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q has hired Brandon Manly as chief operating officer where he will implement significant changes in corporate culture, including the introduction of a Sonny’s competition barbecue team. Manly is joined by respected longtime Oklahoma marketing professional Dominic Losacco, who takes over as vice president of marketing. Losacco will lead the company’s aggressive roll out of new concepts in restaurant design, menu and décor expected later this year.

Electric scooter, no red tape

Ride Green Scooters on West Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park has announced the addition of Tao Tao’s ATE-501 electric scooter to the lineup of its gas-saving motor scooters. It complies with Federal and Florida State statutes so that no driver’s license, registration or license plate is required.
