Maitland author Ken Pelham’s debut novel was released on July 18. “Brigands Key” is a thriller set off the coast of Florida that revolves around mystery, murder, a category 5 hurricane and a lethal plague.

The Winter Park Breakfast Rotary Club announced the new club officers for 2012-2013: Susan Sackett, president; Jennifer Chapin, secretary; Susan Sackett, treasurer; Chelsea Dygan, president elect; Katie Miller, Bob Koch, Frank Kaney, Zack Hussain, directors; Wayne Koontz, information technology; Mark VanHaasteren, past president.
