It’s the Mingle at the Museum! The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens invites you to have cocktails while networking, listening to poetry, and looking at sculpture. SEPT. 14

The Winter Park Public Library presents its annual fundraiser, Bash for Books at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Winter Park Civic Center. This year's party will feature food, wine, a silent auction and raffles to raise money in support of the programs and services of the library. This year's Bash celebrates “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,” the acclaimed and infamous book by Lewis Carroll. The event will transport guests to Alice's Wonderland, complete with live entertainment, a casino, and great food and spirits. Visit wppl.org for more information.

SEPT. 15

The Center for Contemporary Dance takes audiences into the rehearsal studio for an intimate preview of evolving works from Moore Dance Project, the area's first and only African-American professional dance ensemble. Performances take place at 3 p.m. on Sundays, Sept. 8 and 15, at 3580 Aloma Ave. No. 7 in Winter Park. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased by calling 407-695-8366 or visiting thecenterfordance.org.
