The Morse Museum will show a Brown Bag Matinee of “Expo-Magic of the White City,” a continuation from Jan. 25 (63 minutes), on Friday, Feb. 1, at noon at the Hugh F. and Jeannette G. McKean Pavilion, located at 161 W. Canton Ave., or just behind the museum. The event is free.

Individuals will have the opportunity to meet with more than 30 professional agencies at the Smart Aging Health Fair on Friday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maitland Civic Center, located at 641 S. Maitland Ave. Health screenings and health programs will also be topics for discussion at the fair. Lunch will be provided at noon. The Art & History Museums-Maitland’s (A&H) program Ladies’ Art Lounge continues on Friday, Feb. 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the A&H’s Maitland Art Center, Studio 4, located at 231 W. Packwood Ave. in Maitland. Ladies’ Art Lounge is designed for women who want an evening out with friends where they can talk, have a glass of wine and learn something new in a casual and fun atmosphere. The Feb. 1 program is led by A&H Artist-In-Action Whitney Broadaway, who presents a printmaking activity: Plexiglas Monoprints. The sixth annual Out Of The Darkness Community Walk will be Saturday, Feb. 2, at 8 a.m. around Lake Baldwin. More than 1,000 walkers participated in last year’s event, which benefits the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, to fund research, education and survivor and awareness programs — both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide. During Black History Month 2013, The Center for Contemporary Dance will present Moore Dance Project’s “Sacred Slave Stories,” a contemporary ballet inspired by historic interviews with formerly-enslaved African Americans, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park. Orlando Area Historical Rose Society will meet at Harry P. Leu Gardens, located at 1920 N. Forest Ave. in Orlando, where Robert Bowden, director of Leu Gardens, will present “Florida’s Top Ten Garden Guide and Drought Tolerant Plants Are Not Ugly” on Feb. 3. The Central Florida Watercolor Society (CFWS) will host a four-day workshop at Webster University/Sanlando Center, located at 2180 W. State Road 434 in Longwood, from Feb. 4-7 with highly acclaimed artist Tom Lynch. CWFS is currently accepting reservations, with a deposit, for the workshop, which is open to all watercolorists, regardless of ability. The Winter Park Welcome Center, located at 151 W. Lyman Ave., will host “Winter Park Executive Women,” presented by Hylant, on Monday, Feb. 4. The Breakthrough Theatre, located at 419A W. Fairbanks Ave. in Winter Park, will honor Elvis Presley with shows running through Feb. 11. The production will take place Feb.1-4 and Feb. 8-11, with Monday, Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m. and Sunday shows at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $12. Only cash or checks are accepted. From Feb. 5 – April 16, AARP will be offering free tax assistance on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-4 p.m. at the Maitland Senior Center, located at 345 S. Maitland Ave. Assistance is on a first-come first-serve basis, and the last person will be helped at 3:30 p.m. Individuals should bring all appropriate tax information with them. The Winter Park Playhouse continues its 10th anniversary series of professional musical theatre with “My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra,” through Feb. 16. Thursday performances will take place Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. Friday performances will be Feb. 1, 8 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday performances will take place Feb. 2, 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday performances will be at 2 p.m. on Feb 3 and 10. There will also be a Wacky Wednesday performance Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $38 evening; $35 senior evening; $28 matinees; $20 industry professionals; $20 students ages 25 and younger; $15 Thursday Preview; and $28 Wacky Wednesday.
