ONGOING

Stepped-up law enforcement activities will be conducted during the national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization, May 23-June 5. Winter Park Police Department Officers will be focusing their efforts toward unbelted vehicle occupants during this time.

Winter Park High School Drama presents its annual Festival of One-Acts at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 27; and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at the Ann Derflinger Auditorium on the main campus of Winter Park High School. Tickets are $5 at the door.

SATURDAY

There will be no garbage or recycling collection service in unincorporated Orange County on Monday, May 30. If Monday is your garbage collection day, garbage will be collected on the following Thursday. If Monday is your recycling collection day, recycling will be collected on the next Monday.

JUNE 3

The groundbreaking event for Maitland City Hall will take place at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 3. Independence Lane, immediately east of the new city hall site, is temporarily closed during construction of both city hall and the fire station. It will be reopened in one year when construction is complete.

Junior Achievement of Central Florida will host its 10th annual golf tournament on Friday, June 3 at Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista.
