Oxford, now living in Orlando, will speak on “Accents of English-Speaking People” at a meeting of the English-Speaking Union at the University Club of Winter Park, 841 Park Ave. This interesting and humorous speaker will discuss accents and dialects of English-speaking people as affected by geographic, socio-economic and education levels. The Goldenrod Chamber’s Annual Holiday Party on Monday, Dec. 12, at the Goldenrod Station from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free for all and will include heavy appetizers and cocktails for everyone.
