Throughout the month of October at participating Panera Bread bakery-cafes, $1 from any baker’s dozen of bagels sold will be donated to MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando. The store is also donating $2 from the sale of every pink ribbon bagel coffee mug and 100 percent of the proceeds from every pink ribbon bagel sold on Friday, Oct. 7.

The second annual Golf for the Kids benefiting B.A.S.E. Camp Children's Cancer Foundation is Friday, Oct. 7 at the Reunion Resort and Club. Register for the seventh annual Greater Maitland 5K run/walk on Oct. 8 at 7:30 a.m. This uplifting community event draws more than 500 participants and net proceeds are presented directly to the New Hope for Kids and Shepherd’s Hope charities. Pre-event activities are staged at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 1300 W. Maitland Blvd., with the starting line on Sandspur Road and finish line on the property of Orangewood. The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival, presented by Florida Blue and Subaru, returns for its 38th year on Saturday, Oct. 8, and Sunday, Oct. 9. At its permanent home in Central Park, the Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art show with the tradition of showcasing Florida artists exclusively. The Bach Festival Society announces its second annual special-event fundraiser, Fête at Feliz, a casual evening at Casa Feliz Historical Home Museum in Winter Park.
