FRIDAY, JUNE 8

“LEGENDS”

7:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Showcasewg, 12100 W. Colonial Drive, Winter Garden. Cirque e Musica presents “Legends,” a tribute to pop’s most-recognized performers, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, The Blues Brothers and The Beatles. Performers from Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld  and Broadway will keep guests entertained with their vocals, dance and acrobatic performances, accompanied by the Solid State Band. SPECIAL OLYMPICS TRADING CARD DAY

3 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 8, at TD Bank, 12200 W. Colonial Drive, Suite 101, Winter Garden. During Trading Card Day, the community is invited to meet Special Olympic athletes participating in this year’s games. Athletes Mark, Deanna, Patrick and Calvin, who will take part in bowling and swimming, will be handing out their personal “trading cards” with all their athletic stats, as well as collecting donations to benefit the Special Olympics. OCOEE SUMMER JOB FAIR

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at West Oaks Mall, 9401 W. Colonial Drive, Ocoee. This event will host numerous employers to promote summer jobs, internships and career opportunities in West Orange County. Orange County Public Schools also is partnering to introduce

OBSTACLE FOOT GOLF

ONP GOPHER TORTOISE RUN

7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Oakland Nature Preserve, 747 Machete Trail, Oakland. Take part in a three-miler through the preserve or a three-mile virtual race — all to support ONP. Each registered on-site racer will receive a T-shirt, Gopher Tortoise Run carved wooden medallion and a clip-on Hydro Pouch. Virtual participants will receive a medallion. Aside from earning her journalism degree from the University of Georgia, she hasn’t strayed too far from her hometown and her three-mile bubble.
