It’s that special time of year again, Halloween. Whether you’ve got kids or you’re just a big kid at heart, there’s plenty of spooky fun to be had by all. Here are three cheap and easy ways to haunt your home in no time for all hallows’ eve.

Pumpkins!

Everyone loves a good gourd, so this year why not take a less traditional turn on our dear friend Jack O’Lantern. Try coating your pumpkin in glue and then Epsom salts. He’s bound be to the apple of everyone’s eye with his sparkly new coat. Want something artistic but a little bit less well, glittery? Grab a drill and “carve” a chevron, polka dot or stripe pattern into your pumpkin. Add a battery operated LED candle and you’ve got glow for hours!

DIY ghost

All you need for this one is some cheesecloth, a 2-liter soda bottle, a ball, spray starch, and some wire. Place the ball atop the 2-liter bottle, extend the wires out to either side like arms, drape the cheesecloth and spray! Once dry remove the supports and you’ve got your own Casper the friendly ghost.

Eyeball wreath

This is a wreath sure to get all eyes on you. You’ll need: eight-dozen rubber glow-in-the-dark eyeballs, a 12-inch foam wreath, black crepe streamers, and some flathead pins for the eyeballs. You can find more details and how to pictures on DIYNetwork.com, search eyeball wreath. “Eye” am sure you’ll love making it!

Be safe and have a ghoulishly good time this year!
