Coffee with the Town Manager set for Sept. 8

The monthly event will be held at 9 a.m. in Oakland’s arts center.

Oakland Town Manager Steve Koontz welcomes the public for coffee and conversation from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland. Coffee will be served at the center, located at 126 W. Petris Ave. 

Parking is available at the Town Center Circle.

Participants are invited to learn more about town news, services, road projects, events and more. Those attending will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts about various topics affecting the town.

Attendees also can enjoy a sneak peek of the upcoming "La Florida: Celebrating Florida's Hispanic Heritage" art and history exhibition at the center. The town is celebrating more than 500 years of Hispanic heritage in Florida by featuring the work of more than a dozen local artists.

The official opening reception for the exhibition will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, and is free and open to the public.

Coffee with the Town Manager is held on the second Thursday of every month at various locations around Oakland.
