A large development project in Northeast Ocoee will be up for discussion during the City Commission meeting on August 6.

Ocoee commissioners will take action on the second readings of an annexation ordinance and a large-scale comprehensive plan amendment for a property generally located south of East McCormick Road and west of North Apopka Vineland Road.

The project has been identified as the CLRM Planned Unit Development. The subject property totals 212.3 acres, but only 193.22 acres is proposed to be annexed into the city. Additionally, the proposed large-scale comprehensive plan amendment  is to change the land-use designation of the property from Orange County rural settlement 1/5 to City of Ocoee low-density residential. Plans for the proposed development include 381 dwelling units and 68.68 acres of open space, according to a previous report.

Any residents with questions or concerns may contact Ocoee City Hall at (407) 905-3100.
