Maitland Chamber accepting school supplies

The Maitland Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting donations of school supplies for kids and teachers. Donations can be dropped off at the Chamber office at 110 N. Maitland Ave. or at any Chamber event. For monetary donations, note on the memo “school drive.” For more information, call the Chamber at 407-644-0741.

FosterMore looks to tell stories

FosterMore (a Disney initiative) is partnering with StoryCorps to empower those touched by foster care to share their stories. StoryCorps helps archive the wisdom of generations by allowing people to record the stories of others through interviews and then sharing them with the world! StoryCorps is seeking 1,000 stories from foster children, families, caregivers, caseworkers, etc. as part of the National Archive/NPR StoryCorps project. Stories are being collected now through November (National Adoption Month). For more information, contact StoryCorps at 646-723-7020.
