Fifth Third Bank gave away money to promote their no-fee ATM program and support the Summer of Dreams program. Fifth Third Bank matched the amount collected by participants — approximately $500 — and donated it to Summer of Dreams, a 10-week camp providing food and activities for homeless children in Orange County, and financial counseling for their parents.

LaBella Intimates, a new boutique shop in Hannibal Square, opened with an evening titled “A Passport to Europe.” The shop is at 411 W. New England Ave.

Producers of local style makeover show “J’s Everyday Fashion” are searching for women in need of fashion help in the Orlando area. Angela McLelland of Winter Park graduated from Union College during the 217th Commencement on June 12 on Hull Plaza. McLelland earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in mechanical engineering.

Jared Rosen, a resident of Maitland, received a Master of Science in accounting and taxation during the May 2011 SMU Commencement ceremony.

AAA forecasts 39 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home during the Independence Day holiday weekend — a 2.5 percent decrease from the 40 million people who traveled last year.

Keep Winter Park Beautiful is calling for nominations for awards recognizing businesses and residents that have acted to beautify Winter Park in the past year. The Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 331 Lake Ave., Maitland, has recently been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Ways to give back

Cornerstone Hospice is experiencing an increase in the number of veterans that are receiving its hospice services. If you are a veteran and are interested in spending quality time with terminally ill veterans, then they would like you on their team. Palmano’s Café, Coffee and Wine Bar, 333 S. Park Ave., announced that throughout the summer, half its bottled water proceeds will benefit The Morning Star School.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida’s new Joe R. Lee Branch was dedicated Friday, June 17. Bright House Networks has provided free high-speed Internet to the Eatonville club and all other Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida facilities for the past decade as part of its PowerUP program, with an annual service value of more than $100,000.

Volusia County and the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program will formally open its new 8,000-square-foot business incubation facility at the Daytona Beach International Airport on July 27.

For the second year in a row, Valencia Community College ranks first in the nation in the number of associate degrees awarded by a community college. The ranking was published on Monday by Community College Week.

Insight Credit Union selected the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life as its company-wide spring fundraiser. The credit union exceeded its goal by raising more than $6,600 and donating more than 900 volunteer hours during the Relay for Life event.
