Florida Rep. Dan Webster welcomed the Wildcats boys’ basketball team of Winter Park High School on March 30 in Washington, D.C. He congratulated the team for its latest state championship win.

Fifth Third Bank Central Florida is honored to announce that Lennette Fields of Orlando was the winning caller on WCFB (94.5 FM) during its African American History Maker advertising campaign. She chose Frontline Outreach to receive $5,300 from Fifth Third Bank due to the positive impact the organization has had on her own life.

A team of Maitland Middle School sixth-graders won the State Future Problem Solving Bowl last month and is now moving on to the international competition held by the University of Wisconsin in June.

More than 25,000 people visited during the Morse Museum of American Art’s four-week period of free admission (Feb. 19 through March 20) to celebrate the opening of its new Tiffany wing. “We are so very pleased,” Director of Public Affairs Catherine Hinman said. “I think if you talked to merchants on the Avenue, you would find they are a lot busier too.”

The Rollins MBA announces that full-time MBA student, Christopher Gassner, has been awarded this year’s SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit award. Gassner was presented with the honor during an April 1 ceremony at the school and will be recognized again for his achievement during the Rollins MBA commencement ceremony on Saturday, April 30.
