During November and December, Whole Foods Market Winter Park, 1989 Aloma Ave., will be accepting food donations for HOPE and their Sonshine Food Pantry. Drop off non-perishable food donations at the designated location near Customer Service.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation announced it is providing $3.15 million in flexible funding and leadership training to local Florida nonprofits in seven markets through its Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. Orlando recipients include Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, Shepherd's Hope of Orlando and Peter Schreyer of Winter Park, who will direct his grant to Crealde School of Art.

Florida Hospital congratulates Dr. Gideon Lewis, foot and ankle surgeon, as the 2010 recipient of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine Rising Star Award. Dr. Lewis, a Winter Park resident, graduated from UCF with his bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology in 2000.
