A Central Florida-based organization recently received national recognition.

Community Health Centers Inc. was announced as a "2021 Best and Brightest Company to Work For" by the National Association for Business Resources.

The Best and Brightest Program provides the business community with the opportunity to gain recognition, showcase their best practices and demonstrate why each of them would be an ideal place for employees to work.

President and Chief Executive Officer of CHC Debra Andree said the company is honored to receive the award.

“Our team members, leadership team and the Community Health Centers Board of Directors are proud of this recognition," Andree said. "This national competition identifies and honors companies that deliver exceptional human resource practices and an impressive commitment to their team members. We boast 550 joyful and purpose-filled team members that deliver quality and compassionate primary healthcare services to Central Florida’s diverse communities."

According to NABR, the 2021 national winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm which reviewed several key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners.

Part of the assessment included a confidential survey that was sent to CHC team members.  The key measures included topics such as compensation, benefits and employee solutions, employee enrichment, engagement and retention.

“It is truly an honor to be nationally recognized with such a prestigious award that distinguishes employers from a broad range of industries. We value every team member and strive to provide quality programs to support them so that they can focus on our mission,” said Cheryl Viadero, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for CHC.

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For winners will be honored during the virtual Illuminate Business Summit week in January 2022.

The Best and Brightest national winners honored 167 winning organizations from across the country out of 1,500 nominations.

During the Illuminate Business Summit, the 101 highest scoring national winning companies will be recognized, and elite awards will be presented to the highest-scoring companies.

With more than 550 team members, CHC provides care to nearly 70,000 patients each year in the Apopka, Bithlo, Clermont, Forest City, Four Corners, Groveland, Lake Ellenor, Leesburg, Meadow Woods, Pine Hills, Tavares and Winter Garden communities.
