Spot is a 3-year-old cat who was recently surrendered to the shelter because his family could no longer keep him. He really enjoys snuggling. Spot gets along well with other kitties, and he is litter-box trained. He can’t wait to find a new best friend to lounge around with and watch a new television series.

During the month of August, the shelter is hosting the Summer Splash adoption promotion. All cat and dog adopters can pick a rubber ducky out of a bucket, and the bottom of the rubber duck will reveal their new adoption fee of $5, $10, $15 or free.

Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando, near the Mall at Millenia. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, call (407) 836-3111 or visit ocnetpets.com.

Critter Corner showcases local animals available for adoption. If you run a shelter or animal rescue and wish to participate, contact Staff Writer Catherine Sinclair, [email protected].
