Disney Springs will reopen for business Wednesday, May 20.

"I’m pleased to share that we’re preparing for a phased reopening of select locations owned by third-party operating participants in the Disney Springs shopping and dining district, starting on May 20," Walt Disney World Resort President Josh D'Amaro said. "We continue to monitor conditions and look forward to welcoming each of our guests back with enhanced health and safety measures in place."

According to D'Amaro, the opening will be done with limited capacity based on Florida state and local guidelines; appropriate physical distancing; face coverings required for both cast members and guests; and additional cast safety training, with a focus on limited-contact guest services and enhanced cleaning procedures.

"Additional protocols and procedures may be announced closer to the opening date, and we greatly appreciate your patience as we take these small steps in returning to everyday life during this unique time," D'Amaro said. "We’re extremely grateful to be part of such a strong and united community here in Central Florida as we proceed through this situation together. We are so appreciative of the amazing work and fortitude of the brave health care workers on the front lines. We remain focused on finding our own ways to help.

"We look forward to this first step with our phased reopening of Disney Springs," he said. "In the meantime, please take care of yourselves. Let’s keep our spirits up, let’s take care of one other, and let’s continue to show the world our Central Florida spirit."
